FAQ for NETPass
1. What is NETPass?
Developed with convenience and security in mind, the NETPass is a single Login procedure for access to all NETVIGATOR Members' Services that require logging-in. You will need to only login once, to freely enjoy the universe of Members' Services such as NETMail, NETCash management, viewing of exclusive content and rewards redemption at Members' Club (formerly Members' Corner).
2. What is my login id and password for NETPass?
It is the same as your 56K dial-up login ID and password.
3. How do I start to use NETPass?
It's simple. You just need to click the NETPass Login Icon on the "NETVIGATOR Members' Service bar" on the top right corner of www.netvigator.com homepage, and then fill in your 56K dial-up login ID and password, and then press "login". Your NETPass is activated immediately.
4. How to obtain my NETPass Login ID & password?
When you are subscribers of NETVIGATOR Internet Access service, you will get a 56K dial-up login ID and password. The login ID and password of NETPass is the same as your 56K dial-up login ID and password.
5. Can I change my NETPass password?
If you change your 56K dial-up password, your NETPass password will automatically changed to your 56K dial-up new password. However, you could not change your NETPass password only without changing your 56K dial-up password.
6. Can I change my NETPass Login ID?
Basically, you could not change your NETPass Login ID. However, if you have changed your 56K dial-up Login ID, your NETPass Login ID will be changed by system automatically.
7. If I have two 56K dial-up login ID, how many NETPass login ID do I have?
If you have two 56K dial-up Login ID, you will have two NETPass Login ID since NETPass Login ID is the same as your 56K dial-up Login ID.
8. If I have 2 NETPass Login, can I use only ONE NETPass Login to manage both accounts?
No. Because each NETPass Login ID carries one account only. For example, you could only access one email account with one NETPass Login ID. If you have 2 NETPass Login ID and you have two @netvigator.com email addresses, you should login both the NETPass Login to check emails of both email addresses.
9. If I change my NETVIGATOR 56K login ID, do I need to change the login for NETPass as well?
Basically, you could not change your NETPass Login since you could not change your 56k dial-up Login.
10. Who should I contact if I forget my NETPass Login ID& password?
Since your NETPass Login ID & password is the same as your 56K dial-up access login ID and password, for security reason, you should call our customer service hotline for help.
11. I'm a BROADBAND user with login ID as Xxx@ultraline / xxx@ultralineatm, what's my NETPass login ID?
If you are our BROADBAND user, you will automatically receive a 56K dial-up Login ID and password for dial-up access purpose. Your NETPass login ID is the same as your 56K dial-up Login ID and password.
12. I'm not NETVIGATOR subscriber, can I apply a NETPass Login?
NETPass is only for NETVIGATOR subscribers. If you would like to enjoy the web service with NETPass, please subscribe to our NETVIGATOR Internet Access service.
13. If I don't have the NETPass Login ID, am I still able to access the services in NETVIGATOR homepage?
Yes. NETVIGATOR homepage is accessable for all Internet users. NETPass is for NETVIGATOR subscribers to access to NETVIGATOR member's only service.
14. What are the benefits of using NETPass? What kind of services is available on NETPass?
With NETPass, you are able to access to NETVIGATOR member's only service on the web with ONE SINGLE LOGIN. At the moment, you could use NETPass to access NETMail (@netvigator.com web base email) and member's corner (member's club).
15. What should I do if I cannot login successfully? And if I get error message?
If the error message is "invalid login or password, please re-enter!", you should verify your Login ID and password and try again. If the situation persists, please call our CS hotline for help.

If the error message is "Sorry! System busy. Please retry later. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.", you should wait for a while and retry later. If the situation persists, please call our CS hotline for help.
16. Is there "time out" for NETPass?
Once you login to NETPass, there is no "time out" as long as you stay in NETVIGATOR Members' Only services on the web. Once you leave the NETVIGATOR Member's Only service on the web, your NETPass will be kept active for 60 minutes only. You will be able to enjoy any NETVIGATOR Member's Only services without re-login during this time limit. However, if you do not re-enter any NETVIGATOR Member's Only services within that 60 minutes, your NETPass will automatically LOGOUT.
17. How do I Logout?
Always remember to LOGOUT by clicking the "NETPass LOGOUT" icon on the right of the NETVIGATOR Members' Services bar. It may secure you from unwanted trespassers. If you are using a public terminal, such as at an Internet cafe, it is advised that you LOGOUT first and close the browser when you leave.
